Democrat Frank Shade – known throughout Sussex County for his many civic and volunteer activities – is hoping to take his long and successful history of community service to a new level by representing the 37^th District in the Delaware House of Representatives.

“I am not a professional politician. I believe it’s time for a working person who has been on the streets and in the trenches to help lead us out of the problems we’re facing,” Frank says. “We need everyday people in office who know who they are and remember where they came from. We need someone who will take your issues and be like a dog with a bone and not let go. I want to restore faith in government by ensuring that we have representation for average working people.”

“Frank’s experience, awareness and commitment to public service are what we need to fill this seat,” says June Hovington, vice chairperson of the 37^th District Democratic Committee. “We think he is the right person for the job and will represent all the people.”

Frank has a long history of public and community service in Sussex County – as a county employee, as a paramedic, as a volunteer firefighter, as president of the World Championship Punkin Chunkin Association, as a founder of the Sussex County Cancer Survivors Fund, as a board member for the Lower Delaware Autism Foundation and as a tireless fundraiser not just for charities, but for individuals who find themselves in distress.
